California governor again spikes driverless truck ban

This past weekend, the Governor of California vetoed a bill that would ban autonomous trucks. A year ago he vetoed a similar bill which would have required human operators in vehicles over 10,000 pounds. That bill had seen a large amount of support with people agreeing that it would not only save jobs, but would also be a safety measure when large autonomous vehicles shared the road with other vehicles.

Jeff Farrah, the CEO of the Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association, was gratified by the latest veto that allows continuing evaluation of autonomous vehicles by safety experts.
